At least three dead & 5 injured after ‘gunman opens fire’ outside In-N-Out as cops hunt for ‘shooter still at large’

THREE people have been killed after at least one gunman opened fire at an In-N-Out burger chain in Idaho – sparking a major manhunt. A rifle-wielding suspect began shooting at victims in the drive-thru area of the restaurant. Terrified bystanders were seen running for their lives across the car park as the suspect fired a large AR-style assault weapon. Another possible shooter was seen firing a handgun, but it was not clear if they were a secondary gunman or a responding witness. Idaho Falls city spokesperson Josh Palmer told NBC News that at least three people had lost their lives and five others were injured. He could not confirm whether the shooter was among the deceased. The suspect drove up to the chain’s drive-thru before exiting a white vehicle and retrieving a rifle from his trunk. The man, wearing a black T-shirt and blue trousers, was seen walking through the car park before shooting through a Tesla‘s windscreen. Twin Falls police confirmed they are responding to an active shooter situation near the In-N-Out. They said that they would be enforcing a lockdown and closing multiple roads and bridges while they search for the suspect, urging people to avoid the area. Idaho Governor Brad Little wrote on X: “Idahoans, join me in keeping the Twin Falls community in your prayers as law enforcement and first responders respond to an active shooter situation near In-N-Out. “Please avoid the area and follow directions from law enforcement as they work to keep everyone safe.” Attorney General Raul Labrador confirmed that cops were still searching for the suspect. He said: “Praying for everyone in Twin Falls as first responders continue searching for the suspect near In-N-Out. “Twin Falls Police, Idaho State Police, and fire and paramedic crews remain on scene working to secure the area. “If you’re in the area, please listen to local authorities and stay away from In-N-Out and the surrounding streets so first responders can do their jobs.” The FBI confirmed it would be assisting in the investigation. Authorities are yet to publicly identify the shooter or shooters, as well as a possible motive. The investigation remains ongoing.
