The New Yorker was found at his home in the Bronx earlier today by a neighbour. He had not been heard from for three days before his body was found unresponsive. Circumstances surrounding his death are currently being investigated. Confirming his death in a statement, his manager Robert Attermann said: "To the world, he will always be remembered as the unforgettable 'Big Pussy,' but to those of us who knew him, he was so much more." "For me, losing Vinny is deeply personal. Over more than three decades, I had the honor of watching not only his remarkable career but also the incredible person he was. I will miss his friendship, his loyalty, his humor, and his heart," he added. The Bronx-born actor is most know for his role in David Chase's 1999 drama The Sopranos as Tony Soprano's longtime best friend and mob enforcer. While working as a limo driver, he met and befriended actors Matt and Kevin Dillon, who offered to watch his community play. Throughout the early 1990s he had several minor film roles, including in the Oscar nominated Goodfellas, Carlito's Way and Men of Respect. Mr Pastore would go on to have an extensive filmography, including roles in Shark Tale, Guy Ritchie's Revolver, Mickey Blue Eyes and Once Upon a Time in Brooklyn. Most recently, he was a regular on Gravesend and made an appearance in Yellowjackets on HBO. During the 2000s, Mr Pastore was a fixture on US reality television. He appeared on Celebrity Family Feud, Dancing With the Stars, Shark Tank and Celebrity Fit Club. He also appeared on Celebrity Apprentice, encountering the likes of Piers Morgan and Donald Trump. In his final episode, he gets in a conflict with Mr Morgan, before switching allegiances multiple times. The actor then dramatically resigned from the show after the now-President attempted to convince him to stay. Mr Pastore also appeared on Broadway with roles in Chicago and Woody Allen's musical Bullets Over Broadway. On SiriusXM, he hosted the Wiseguy Show, a three-hour weekly radio show with a focus on the Italian-American community. Mr Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee.
