Russell Brand is on trial at Southwark Crown Court accused of three rapes, three sexual assaults and indecent assault. The alleged victim claims Brand groped her breasts within seconds of meeting her at the Nordic Bar, before allegedly dragging her to the toilet and forcing her into a sex act. Brand denies rape and sexual assault, and claims the 2004 encounter was consensual but has now been 're-imagined'. The woman claims the actor groped her breasts within seconds of meeting her at the Nordic Bar, before allegedly dragging her to the toilet and forcing her into a sex act. 15:54 Brand leaves court with his wife 15:52 Sketch: Brand in court A new sketch has emerged of Brand listening in court today as witnesses give evidence. 15:48 Brand leaves Southwark Crown Court Russell Brand has now left the south London court following the end of today's proceedings. The comedian, who walked to his waiting car hand-in-hand with his wife, told the media: 'God bless you' and 'thanks for coming here today' on his way out. 15:30 Court to return at 10am on Tuesday Judge Mr Justice Bennathan told the jury to be ready to start proceedings at 10am on Tuesday. He added that the trial made 'good progress' today. The prosecution's case is likely to end early next week, according to Mr Bennathan, after which the defence will present their case. Brand is not obliged to give evidence but may choose to do so. 15:20 Court session finishes for today The court has now finished for the day. 15:06 'You're not going to believe what happened to me' A friend of Russell Brand's third accuser said she told her that she was 'attacked' by the celebrity at a party. After asking her friend about the party, the woman said she told her: 'I met Russell Brand and you're not going to believe what happened to me. 'Russell Brand grabbed me, pushing me into the toilet. He attacked me.' Discussing the conversation, the woman told jurors: 'It was weird when she was relaying it. She wasn't herself, she was composed, I was angry. 'She was off, almost robotic, monotone.' 15:03 Woman was 'upset, distressed and shaken', witness claims A male friend of the complainant said in a written statement that the woman had told him that Brand had 'grabbed' her. The man wrote: 'I remember seeing red and telling (the woman) that she should tell the police or I would do something.' But he added that the woman 'didn't want to'. Another man at the party said in a statement that he could see the woman 'upset, distressed and shaken'. The man said that he told Brand's 'associates' that 'this was unacceptable and he cannot do this'. 14:57 Brand 'looked through me with a blank expression', claims man A man said he saw Russell Brand coming out of a toilet at the party followed by a woman and that he 'looked straight through me with a blank expression'. In a prepared statement that was read to jurors by the prosecution, the man said he knocked on the toilet door to try to use it. In the statement, the man said: 'To my surprise, Russell came out of the toilet and following him out was a woman, I cannot remember her demeanour or how she looked. 'I said hello to Russell, but he looked straight through me with a blank expression. 'I introduced myself and said we'd met the previous year. He continued walking away and said something dismissive like "contact my agent".
