Celebrity Traitors fans spot clues which reveal which star is the first to be murdered – did you notice?
CELEBRITY Traitors fans have spotted clues which reveal which star is the first to be murdered – but did you notice? The second series of the BBC show returned to our screens tonight with Claudia Winkleman as host. Claudia picked Maya Jama and Richard E. Grant to be this year’s Traitors, and they were tasked with picking another famous face to join them. And their pair were tasked with picking a new Traitor to join them, as well as committing their first murder. James Acaster and Amol Rajan headed to the chapel and were tasked with explaining why they should not be killed. Right at the end of tonight’s episode, viewers saw Maya and Richard whisper to Claudia who they had picked. More on Celebrity Traitors However fans will have to wait until tomorrow’s instalment because it ended on a huge cliff hanger as Claudia slowly walked over and closed one of the two coffins shut. Many have taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share who they think it is because of one tell-tale sign. One said: “Reckon @amolrajan was murdered. Richard and Maya definitely stared to their right as the coffin closed, which is where Amol was laying.” Another pointed out: “That candle flicker has surely made it too obvious who is dead.” Most read in TV A third chimed in: “Judging by the candle flicker on Mayas side. James is still alive and it wasn’t his coffin shut.“ “That coffin slam definitely came from Amols side! Hopefully James is safe,” a fourth tweeted. Elsewhere in the episode fans spotted a moment that Richard ‘gave away’ they are a Traitor ‘just like Linda’. And just after picking them, Claudia addressed the new recruits by their new label “Traitors”, and actor Richard nodded in response. The Game of Thrones star isn’t the only person who has done that on the show. Linda Rands, who took part in the third civilian series in 2025, did the same thing. Others fans rolled their eyes after Claudia picked an ‘obvious’ Traitor. One wrote: “They’re going to give Maya 80% of the camera time aren’t they? [sleeping emoji].” Another said: “Of course Maya is a Traitor. It would be more surprising if she wasn’t.”
