Man denies attempted murder of two Jewish men stabbed in Golders Green

A MAN yesterday denied the attempted murder of two Jewish men who were stabbed in Golders Green. Essa Suleiman, 45, also pleaded not guilty to attacking another man earlier the same day. The case is no longer being treated as terrorism and Suleiman is currently being detained in Broadmoor secure psychiatric hospital, the Old Bailey heard. Suleiman, of Camberwell, South London, is also accused of one count of possession of a bladed article in a public place following a series of attacks on April 29. At 8.50am that day, a suspect armed with a knife arrived at an address in Great Dover Street, South London. Ishmail Hussein received minor injuries and police carried out inquiries at an address connected to Suleiman. Read More on UK News Later that morning, he allegedly attacked two Jewish men in Golders Green, North London. Shloime Rand, 34, and Norman Shine, 76, both received stab wounds. Suleiman, a British national born in Somalia, appeared via videolink from Broadmoor hospital and spoke only to confirm his identity.
