SARAH Ferguson has received seven-figure offers for an explosive auto-biography — as the royals still reel from Earl Spencer’s vicious memoir. Publishing sources say Fergie, 66, is “days away” from a deal, and may give her thoughts on ex Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, paedo Jeffrey Epstein, the King, Harry and Meghan. She wants her new autobiography to finally settle concerns over her links to Epstein, sources said last night. The ex-Duchess of York, 66, would also ease her financial woes if the book flies off shelves. She has received a string of seven- figure bids from publishing houses in the US. Sources there told The Sun a deal is “days away”, and a chapter-by-chapter synopsis has been written with detailed notes on “key subjects”. READ MORE ON THE ROYALS Any book by Fergie could be a fresh blow for the royals after this week’s release of Earl Spencer’s scathing memoir Swan Song: Diana, My Sister. Insiders insist Fergie is “on a mission” to rescue her reputation. One source said: “Sarah wants to set the record straight about everything and earn some money to resolve her financial issues. “There has been a secret bidding war and a deal is close to being secured. Most read in Royals “The notes are compelling and the bidders are excited. “Fergie is ever the optimist and believes she can be forgiven and welcomed back.” The book could cover the storm around paedo financier Epstein which has engulfed her and ex-husband, the former Prince Andrew. Fergie could also give her thoughts on the King plus Harry and Meghan’s return to the UK last month. Last October, Charles stripped Fergie of her Duchess title amid worsening Epstein allegations. She and Andrew were evicted from Royal Lodge, Windsor, in February — the same month it emerged six companies linked to her were being wound down. She headed abroad for the summer. But last month we told how she has a new gated home in the Home Counties. Fergie is said to have used her time away to “plot” a comeback. She has been telling friends in the US she hopes to “clear up doubts about her links to Epstein and win back support from the public”. Andrew, stripped of his royal titles, remains under police investigation over his links to pal Epstein, who died in a New York jail cell in 2019. Andrew was arrested on his 66th birthday in February, accused of misconduct in a public office. He denies any wrongdoing. Last year The Sun on Sunday revealed Fergie had written to Epstein, calling him a “supreme friend”, despite his conviction for sex crimes. More allegations of contact between the two emerged in the Epstein Files, released from last December onwards. Documents and emails released by the US Department of Justice revealed she asked Epstein for advice in dealing with her debts, and directly requested funds from him for rent and bills. US Congressman Suhas Subramanyam has urged her to testify about their ties, though there is no suggestion she has committed a criminal offence. Fergie has previously released two memoirs, one in 1996 and one in 2011. She also wrote the Budgie the Little Helicopter books, which were adapted into a children’s TV series in 1994. Sources close to Fergie last night admitted that she had been offered “a number of deals” but direct talks had not yet happened. They also claimed that Fergie did not want to write a “tell all” book airing her family’s recent scandals.
