Ndiaye was the subject of interest from Al Hilal this summer but opted to remain at the Hill Dickinson Stadium. According to The Athletic, Southampton are said to be interested in bringing him back to St Mary's. Tonda Eckert's side are open to bringing him back to the South Coast. Ollie Watkins has agreed terms to join Al-Hilal, according to Fabrizio Romano. The transfer influencer has reported that Villa have accepted a bid worth €58.4m (£50m) plus €2m in add-ons. Newcastle have completed the signing of Nico Gonzalez from Man City. The Spanish midfielder signs a long-term deal at St James' Park. He said: “I’m really happy to be here at this amazing club. Aston Villa are exploring a deal to sign Jean-Claire Todibo from West Ham, according to The Athletic, as Unai Emery's side attempt to add more defensive cover before the end of the transfer window. Last week, Villa lost Ezri Konsa to Arsenal in a £50million deal. It was the latest big name to leave the Villans this summer, after Lucas Digne, Youri Tielemans and Morgan Rogers. The 18-year-old made 35 appearances across all competitions for the Serie A side last season. Crystal Palace have swooped to hijack Aston Villa's deal for Club Brugge central defender Joel Ordonez. Villa had been in advanced talks with the Belgian club over an initial loan that would become permanent, subject to performance-related criteria being met.However, Brugge wanted assurances that a permanent move would be completed next summer and Palace, who have tracked the Ecuadorian since last August, were able to provide that.The Eagles are expected to sign Ordonez on an initial loan that becomes permanent in 2027 for £25.7m.Palace had a £34m bid rejected for the 22-year-old in January and have assessed the player's fitness all summer, as he is currently sidelined with a foot fracture sustained at the World Cup.Ordonez is poised to return to fitness after the first international break of the season.The UEFA Conference League winners' strong relations with both the defender's representatives and Brugge - Palace also previously negotiated with the Belgians for Arsenal winger Christos Tzolis last summer - were key to striking a deal.Brugge are also expected to have a 10 per cent sell-on clause. France outlet RMC Sport have reported that Nicolas Jackson has agreed personal terms with Aston Villa and Atletico Madrid. The two clubs are now reportedly negotiating with Chelsea over a deal around £65million. Villa, however, lead the race. Jackson played under Unai Emery previously at Villarreal and are said to be pushing hard. Coventry City have announced the signing of Ethan Pinnock from fellow Premier League side Brentford. Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have both issued official updates on Julian Alvarez. The latter have stated: "There is a 0% chance of selling Julian Alvarez to Barcelona. The player is being portrayed as the victim, but the only victims of the Julian saga are us. This is about dignity "They have harmed us economically and socially. There's a campaign with many lies and half-truths. The only one who pays for this is Atletico." That update was released following comments from Barca president Joan Laporta. He said: "With all due respect to Atletico de Madrid, we want them to know that if they are open to selling Julian Alvarez, we would be willing to buy him in accordance with the offer we have made." These reports have emerged amid his links to Arsenal and Barcelone, while also taking place the weekend after he was booed by his own supporters during Atletico's draw with Villarreal. Manchester City have accepted a £60m bid from Tottenham for Omar Marsmoush. The Egyptian will move to the north Londoners on loan before signing permanently for £60m next season.
