Family's emotional tribute to London bus driver 'full of love and kindness' who was shot dead The London Metropolitan Police have launched an urgent appeal following the shooting of Auguste-Marie Bile-aka Amoa, 25, who died in Clapham, south London The family of a bus driver who died in a shooting last week has paid a heartfelt tribute to the 25-year-old man who was "full of kindness". Auguste-Marie Bile-aka Amoa died just before 10pm, on Monday, August 10 on Willington Road in Clapham, south London in what the London Metropolitan Police said was a shooting incident outside a local pub. The service arrested a 22-year-old man on suspicion of murder, who presented himself to a hospital in the aftermath of the incident - but it was confirmed on Monday that he was discharged and released with no further action following enquiries. Bile-aka's family said in a statement issued via the Metropolitan Police on Monday that they were "devastated" by his murder, remembering him as an "amazing young man". The family said: "We are devastated by the horrific murder of Bile-aka. He was an amazing young man full of love, kindness, and an enthusiasm for life. Bile-aka touched so many hearts, and the pain of losing him is impossible to put into words. It is difficult to imagine a world without his smile, his presence, and the joy he brought to those around him. “Family, friends, and colleagues are heartbroken, and all we want now is justice for him. Please stand with us and help us honour Bile-aka by making sure his life is remembered and that justice is served.” Police confirmed this evening that no further arrests had been made in connection to Bile-aka's death, with urgent enquiries still ongoing. Met Police Detective Chief Inspector Claire Guiver said the service was extending an appeal to members of the public, asking anyone who may have been in the area when the shooting took place to come forward. She said in a statement: “Our thoughts remain with Bile-aka’s family as they continue to come to terms with this tragic incident. "We are extending our appeal to members of the public, and anyone in the area around the time of the shooting to please come forward. Any piece of information you have could prove vital in our investigation." Det Chf Inspector Guiver said the service was requesting members of the public send in any footage that could help assist investigators. She added: "If you witnessed anything suspicious, or have CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage that could assist our investigation, we urge you to get in touch. “No matter how big or small, your information could be crucial in our investigation.” The service has asked anyone who might have relevant information to get in touch.
