MP ‘groped women’s breasts at celeb club after pestering them for drinks’

AN MP groped the breasts of two women at a celeb hangout after pestering them to drink with him, a court has heard. Patrick Spencer is accused of drunkenly touching the women at the private members’ club in August 2023. Jurors heard the women told each other what happened and Spencer left The Groucho Club in Soho, central London, after a confrontation at the bar. Neither woman knew Spencer, 38, who was at the club as a guest. He was later identified from his profile image on the House of Commons website. Spencer told cops he hugged a friend from behind and did the same to the women, believing they were in the same group. The Conservative Party removed the whip in 2025, and he now sits as an independent MP. Spencer, of Woodbridge, Suffolk, denies sex assaults.
