That appeared to be the beginning of the end for him as he continued to fall to the canvas, before the referee eventually waved off the contest. The Scouse scrapper has put himself back in the mix for a title shot. But for McGregor, this could be the last time we see him in the cage. Who knows... McGregor - who turns 38 just three days after tonight's clash with the Hawaiian - was due to make a stunning comeback two years ago against Michael Chandler, but was forced to pull out of the contest due to injury. While many are sceptical over his return, the Irishman himself is confident he can roll back the years. Ex-featherweight champion Holloway has been a joy to watch since moving up to lightweight for good. The 34-year-old stunned fans with a knockout victory over Gaethje, along with a dominant points win over Poirier. However, despite coming into tonight's clash a huge favourite, he will be desperate to get back in the win column after he was outclassed by Charles Oliveira back in March. Co main is underway! Paddy Pimblett suffered his first UFC loss in his last fight, but is back to show why he is still one of the biggest players in the lightweight division. The Liverpudlian was narrowly beaten in an epic back-and-forth war with Gaethje back in January for the interim 155lb title. A win would have earned him a crack at long-time rival Ilia Topuria, but he has been forced to go back to the drawing board. He faces a tough ask, though, as Benoit Saint Denis has title aspirations of his own. After defeats to Dustin Poirier and Renato Moicano, the Frenchman has been unstoppable since, stopping Kyle Prepolec, Maurício Ruffy, Beneil Dariush and Dan Hooker. Pimblett's meeting with Saint Denis will no doubt be one of his toughest tests to date. Max Holloway is currently getting his hands wrapped as we are minutes away from the main event. But first though, we have just got to get through the mouthwatering co-main event between Benot Saint-Denis and Paddy Pimblett. There were some close moments throughout the fight, but I think Mario Bautista has taken this one. That leg lock completely messed Cory Sandhagen's approach for the rest of the contest. And the judges have handed in their scorecards... and Bautista does get it done! Some nice shots in the clinch gets through for Sandhagen with over a minute to go. Bautista has really failed to capitalise on Sandhagen's injury, but saying that, he ends the round with a nice kick. Bautista runs straight to the centre of the canvas and opens straight with a kick. Bautista just circling Sandhagen right now, pressing forward, and lands another kick. Sandhagen won't be too bothered as he fires off a big left hand followed by a high kick. Those ones hurt Bautista, but Bautista gets a quick body lock and gets his foe against the cage. The American has not been seen in action since he was outclassed from start-to-finish by Merab Dvalishvili for the 135lb gold strap at UFC 320. With the bantamweight division as open as it's been for a long time, a statement win for Sandhagen could edge him closer to yet another crack at the coveted prize. But in his path is top star Mario Bautista - who has only lost once in his last 10 appearances. The 33-year-old comes into the contest off the back of a submission win over Vinicius Oliveira. Tonight's fighters have famously fought before, back in 2019, and on that night, it was Sandhagen who would go on to get his hand raised. Third and final round. This one is up for grabs. The 27-year-old was quick to rise up the ranks after bursting onto the UFC scene with wins over Jose Ochoa and Felipe dos Santos. Kavanagh look destined for a big name, but had to get through Charles Johnson last August. Much to the surprise of many, Johnson scored a stunning knockout. Many assumed the Brit would have to work his way up the hard way, but was handed a huge chance to climb up fairly sharpish, stepping up on short notice against former champion Brandon Moreno earlier this year. And the Brit took it with both hands after outclassing his rival over five rounds. Ex-flyweight title challenger Brandon Royval will be eager to put his upcoming rival back in his place, however. Terrance McKinney has never gone to the judges in his professional career so far, and his jaw-dropping knockout power has seen hime become a real fan-favourite. The American brutally knocked out Kyle Nelson in 24 seconds last time out, but faces a tough challenge tonight in King Green. The 39-year-old, also a huge fan-favourite, is currently riding a three fight winning streak, following impressive wins over Lance Gibson Jr, Daniel Zellhuber and Jeremy Stephens. Green will hope to shake hands with his foe regardless of the outcome after admitting he was a little surprised by the call to fight McKinney given their rather cordial past.
