England have now qualified for their 11th FIFA World Cup quarter-final – only Brazil (15) and Germany (14) have reached more in World Cup history. Big pressure moments in years gone by watching as a fan, as a kid, England probably would have crumbled but we stuck together until the last second. The players who came on, the players who started, running themselves into the ground and giving everything. That is what this team is about. The atmosphere was by far the best I have played against in international football. This country as a footballing country is magnificent. The reception we had coming off the plane, although it was hostile, it was beautiful to see how passionate one country can be about their team. The refereeing decisions, it is what it is. It's the World Cup and they are human too. As easy as it is to say now, they are human, we made a lot more than they did, but no worries we got through. On his first-half clearance: It could have been. At 2-1 the game was still there, especially when they scored. It felt like the stadium almost collapsed. So it was probably an important clearance, just as important as the goals, but this win is far more than me. It is the players that came on, the supporters who have come to Mexico and probably had a difficult journey and paid hard-earned money. It is a whole country's performance. On Norway in the last eight: It is still one game at a time. At the end of the day it is just a round of 16 win. The quarter-final Norway pose a different threat, some that we know really well, some world class players in there, so we will have to be ready. My God, if you can't enjoy a night like this, just for one night, then I don't know what it's worth. On England fans back home: Have another shot and text your bosses to say you're not coming in tomorrow. That's about it. I can imagine it's carnage. No matter where you're from or what you do I can imagine everyone is together. That is is the thing I dream of being a part of this England squad, bringing my country together, giving them nights like this that they will enjoy for many years to come. I am so proud of this team. What we have done tonight is spectacular. Brilliant Bellingham By Harry Bamforth We simply have to talk about Jude Bellingham. He is HIM. As this tournament goes on, I find it more baffling that we ever doubted this man. I can't believe that there were many who believed Bellingham should not even make the squad last year. The midfielder continues to prove his doubters wrong each match, providing clutch moment upon clutch moment, and today he came up with two huge ones. Right when Mexico were starting to press on the gas in teh first half, Bellingham came up with two goals in just as many minutes to silence the Azteca and send England well on their way to victory. He now has four goals at this World Cup, which means that of the 11 goals England have scored at this World Cup, ten have been scored by either the midfielder or Harry Kane. Just crazy. Quite the performance from the main man. Up next, Norway By Harry Bamforth England have won themselves a date with Norway. Now, if you offered the Three Lions a quarter-final with Norway before this tournament, I have no doubt that they would have snapped your hand off for it. However, I'm not so sure now. The Norwegians have been brilliant at this World Cup, dispatching Brazil at the MetLife emphatically in the round of 16. Erling Haaland has been bang at it throughout teh tournament, bagging yet another brace against Brazil. The England defence may know him well, but that doesn't necessarily count for much when the striker is in this form. Whatever happens in that match, though, we know that we will be in for yet another epic in Miami. That game will take place on Saturday, 11 July at 10pm UK time.
